Fleetwood Mac? Grateful Dead? Beatles? I have to agree with Ron on the Beatles and put the other two mentioned bands in there as well. They have 'rock' elements and often 'rocked' and sometimes 'rolled,' but perfect rock albums? My opinion is no. It is subjective. What is the perfect rock album? Who can define that? The boneheads behind the counter in "High Fidelity" maybe (sorry, just saw it again), but my list will be different from other people's and vice-versa. We all have different ideas in our head of perfect and of rock album. To me, perfect means consistent all the way through the whole album. It would be interesting to see the rest of the author's list. Exile? White Album? Electric Ladyland? Who's Next? Music From Big Pink? Zep (I,II,IV) We see these titles over and over again gracing these lists, but it will never be settled. It is up to you. Mine? Impossible. Too many to make that kind of list, but I have some theoreticals. How's THAT for ME, Mr. Obnoxious Music Opinion, being diplomatic? LOVE the mention of Let It Bleed, Stones, Kinks and Jerry Lee Lewis. Okay, so I have to mention CHUCK BERRY!!!
